Limit the operation of differential to secure the driving force and controllability on the curve or rough road. TECHNICAL TRAX is a coined word quoted from TECHNICAL (technology) and TRAX (TRACTION-X: unknown traction), and means that unknown ultimate traction is drawn with technical development and driving technology.

Large size friction disk
Large size clutch is required for the LSD that is corresponding to the tuning engine, for efficient transmission of the huge torque. For the example of Nissan, capacity of the clutch is secured 127cm2 per one disk, which means total effective friction area will be 764cm2 (63.7x2 sides x6 disks). It is the largest friction area among the others.

Enables quicker turn especially at low-speed (parking etc.) by reducing pressure of friction disk
Improvement in durability of plate, disk, spring, and oil by reducing pressure of friction disk
Noise reduction by reducing pressure of friction disk
long-term stabilization of a locking performance (only change of the oil is needed for the maintenance)
Since range of diff locking until it gets maximum is so wide, that it is possible to sense the movement of vehicle through the accelerator (Flexible response from diff that connects tires directly with accelerator ON, and let them free with Accelerator OFF).

Slitted pressure ring
In order to secure the durability of the diff unit in severe operation conditions, such as an excessive wheel spin peculiar to FR and a drift run, slit was put into the pressure ring on where lubrication is hard and is suffering from high friction pressure. With this slit, stable lubrication is secured by the oil sent out from the slit with centrifugal force, and durability is raised remarkably.

Spring disk
We applied the spring disk in T-TRAX in order to gain clutch capacity, to miniaturize the initial-torque-generating mechanism. Moreover, the spring rate turned nonlinear, suppressed change of the spring disk under the severe operation condition or prolonged use, and secured durability.
